This woman is the primary suspect identified by Surprise Police in a case of theft and fraud that began June 19.
On June 19, two vehicles were burglarized while parked at a fitness center in the area of Bell Road and Reems Road in Surprise.
The victims in both cases had their purses taken from their vehicles; both of the purses contained checkbooks.
The following day checks from both of the victims were cashed at various credit unions in the East Valley in the area of Mesa.
The suspect cashing the checks was driving a 2015 silver Jeep Grand Cherokee. The license plate displayed on the vehicle was, however, stolen several weeks earlier.
The Surprise Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the female subject depicted in photographs it has released.
