Peoria police are investigating a shooting and robbery that has one person in the hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to a spokesman.

The incident occurred before 5 p.m. April 12 inside Park Clothing Center, 8150 W. Peoria Ave.

Peoria Police Department officers responded to the scene at about 4:20 p.m. Upon arrival, they located an adult with at least one gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to Officer Brandon Sheffert.

The suspect is outstanding. According to police, the suspect is a black male in his late teens to 20s with a thin build between 150 and 180 pounds, and between 5 feet 7 inches tall and 6 feet tall. He was wearing a grey shirt and a baseball cap with a possible "Cabela's" writing or logo on it. The incident is tied to a robbery at the store, according to police. It is unknown if the suspect fled with any items.

Police released a short clip of the suspect from the store's surveillance video.
