A woman died Thursday night after a vehicle ran over her in Glendale, according to police.
On March 30, at about 8:40 p.m., officers responded to the 6600 block of North 65th Avenue for an accident.
According to police, a sedan was travelling northbound on 65th Avenue when a woman, chasing after her dog, ran into the roadway.
The vehicle struck the woman, who sustained injuries. Officials transported her to a local Valley hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
The driver of the car remained at the scene. Police do not believe speed and impairment were factors.
It is unknown if next of kin notifications have been made.
