Bob Dylan has a big month of March lined up.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer will see his 2024 biopic, “A Complete Unknown,” honored at the 97th annual Academy Awards on March 2 where it’s up for eight Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actor.
Dylan on Monday also announced new dates this year for his ongoing Rough and Rowdy Ways Tour, which supports his 2020 album of the same name – an album that yielded the singer’s first-ever No. 1 hit on the Billboard chart with “Murder Most Foul.”
His new tour dates feature an interesting twist in that the first four shows announced will take place in smaller cities than the icon’s usual worldwide stops. The new dates get underway March 25 and will include shows in Tulsa, Oklahoma; Wichita, Kansas; Mankato, Minnesota; and Green Bay, Wisconsin.
While Tulsa and Wichita feature populations around 400,000 apiece, Mankato numbers around 45,000 people and Green Bay is home to around 105,000 residents.
Dylan’s first-ever concert appearance in Arizona came back in 1978 when he performed at the ASU Activity Center in Tempe, and he last played a show in the state in 2022 at the Tucson Music Hall. In the first announcement of new dates for 2025, so far Arizona isn’t on the list but more shows are expected to be scheduled.
