The pet party will offer animals available for adoption from Ruby Ranch Pet Rescue and Sanctuary and No Paws Left Behind, as well as vendors offering free dental chews, flea and tick prevention products, and experts on hand for advice on obesity prevention, prescription diets, heartworm prevention, pet training tips, free food from Jimmy Johns and more.

Free pet exams will also be offered when pet owners schedule an appointment during the event.

The Animal Medical Center of Surprise is at 13833 W. Bell Road No. 101, Surprise. This new business is owned and operated by Surprise resident Dr. Mel Paquin, whose eighteen years of small animal experience put him on a quest to fi nd a location where he could build a hospital for cats and dogs that focus on pet health education and preventative health care, as well as state- of-the-art laser therapy, surgeries, internal medicine and prescription diets. AMC of Surprise offers appointments and surgeries seven days a week with extended hours, so that owners can schedule to be with their pet during recovery.

“Unfortunately pets can’t schedule to get sick from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. during normal working hours, so we wanted to offer a dependable medical team available for pets’ needs whether its early in the morning, later in the evening or on weekends,” Dr. Paquin said. “ We are open seven days a week and offer flexible hours so that pet parents can get their pets care when it works best for their busy schedules.”

Members of the community are encouraged to bring their four legged family members to celebrate at the event and to bring any gently used leashes, collars or dog toys that will be donated to the Ruby Ranch Pet Rescue and Sanctuary and No Paws Left Behind.

Tickets for this free event are made by checking into the AMC of Surprise Face-Book page. For information go to www.amcofsurprise.com or call 623-295-1811.
