In tax policy during Trump’s rally in Tucson Thursday:
On the path to elimination of all taxes? Eliminate overtime pay from taxes? How is that equitable for a salaried worker making the same earned income as a higher-wage hourly worker with 20% of his earned income being overtime?
And Project 2025 recommends affording employers to calculate overtime over a longer period to deprive workers of overtime through strategic scheduling.
What Project 2025 says: “Congress should provide flexibility to employers and employees to calculate the overtime period over a longer number of weeks.”
Guessing the next shoe to drop will be revisiting elimination of the estate tax.
