William (Bill) of Sun City, AZ, age 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Banner Boswell Hospital. Bill had fought 2 cancers for over 5 years.
He was born in St. Joseph, MO. He was a career Navy veteran of 20 years and proudly served his tours of duty aboard various submarines all over the world. Bill enlisted in the Navy at the young age of 17.
His favorite past time was watching reruns of Gunsmoke and he had a special love for dogs. His smile was contagious.
Bill is survived by his partner of 45 years, David Capps, Sun City; three living siblings, Sarah Parr Davis, Sun City, Theresa Parr O’Dell (Marvin), Sun City and Joseph Parr (Linda) Brownsburg, IN; three children, Wm. F. Parr, III, Sara Parr Phelps and Scott Parr; grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his son Derek Parr, two siblings Maxine Parr Chandlee (Walter) and Patricia Parr Walker (Ronald) and a wife from a young marriage, Allison Parr.
Bill’s passing will create a void for family and friends. He will be missed. A Memorial Service and interment for Bill will be held at sea out of Port of San Diego, CA.
