Deputies are investigating two robberies in Sun City which occurred Tuesday afternoon.
The first occurred at about 4:40 p.m. in the 10900 block of W. Bell Road. According to Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Calbert Gillett, someone grabbed a woman’s purse from her car.
Deputies listed the incident as a strong arm robbery. There is no suspect information or leads at the time, Sgt. Gillett stated.
Then at about 5 p.m., an armed robbery occurred in the 10700 block of W. Peoria Avenue.
According to Sgt. Gillett, a white male with red hair showed a large knife to two female victims, taking a purse with its contents.
No one was injured during the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
