Nancy Spring Wilkins

Nancy, 89 years old, passed away in Sun City, AZ. She was born in Milford, NE on September 23, 1930. She lived with her adoptive parents Clarence Russell Spring and Mary Leuty Robinson Spring.
She attended kindergarten and first grade in Utica, NE public school. She lived in Dunlap, IA for a year and a half and attended second and third grade in Dunlap Public School. She lived in Council Bluffs, IA and attended fourth grade at Pierce School 1939 to 1940. She attended fifth and sixth grades at Harrison School. In June 1942, she moved to Bellevue, NE and attended seventh through twelfth grades at Bellevue Public School and graduated as valedictorian.
From 1948 to 1952, Nancy attended the University of Omaha and graduated. 1952, Nancy taught fifth and sixth grades at Walnut Hill School in
Omaha, NE. In 1956, Nancy taught in the Westside Public Schools, District 66.
On Jun 18, 1960, Nancy married William Walker Wilkins at the St. James Methodist Church in Bellevue, NE. Nancy and Bill lived in Shickley, NE.
She was employed at Shickley State Bank. Nancy was elected to the Shickley School Board and served one year.
In 1963, their son Thomas Spring Wilkins was born.
She taught art at Shickley Public School from 1968 until 1983. In 1986, she moved to Geneva, NE. and in  2001, she moved to Sun City, AZ.
Predeceased by father, Clarence Russell Spring and mother, Mary Leuty Robinson Spring. Survivors are husband William Walker Wilkins, son Thomas Spring Wilkins, daughter-in-law Wanying Z. Wilkins, grandson William Z. Wilkins and many nieces and nephews.
She liked painting, stained glass, photography, and reading books.
