Gwen, 88, of Sun City West passed away June 11, 2020. Gwen was born on June 30, 1931 in Kearney, NE to Paul and Gertrude (Reiter) Wilhelmy.

Gwen has lived in Arizona for the past 20 years with her husband Hal Colony. As a young woman, in addition to raising her three kids, Gwen stayed active in the fashion industry working as a model, selling makeup and clothes, and doing interior design work. Gwen continued her interior design work in her retirement years.

Gwen had a passion for music. She loved performing in the church choir, karaoke with friends, the Cameo Club, and participated in the Ms. Senior Arizona Pageants. Gwen was an active member of the Prince of Peace Parish.

Gwen was proceeded in death by her first husband, Richard Wagner; her daughter, Toni Siegel; and her brother, Jack Wilhelmy. Gwen is survived by her husband, Harold “Hal” Colony; her children, Mark (Nancy) Wagner and Matt (Lynelle) Wagner; and Hal’s children: Kevin, Kim, Kip and Kyle; and his 9 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; her grandchildren: Meredith (Mark) Rosland, Heather Siegel-Hickman, Heidi (Drew) Elser, Nikki (Eric Pickert), and Matt Wagner (Jiovani Coleman); her great-grandchildren: Charlie Hickman, Ian and Sydney Rosland, Jackson Elser, and Frankie and Freddy Pickert; as well as her sisters, Janet Vicario and Pam (Larry) Peterson.

A Memorial Mass will be held Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church 14818 W. Deer Valley Dr., Sun City West, AZ 85375.
