Chompie’s restaurants to celebrate 40 years in business

Posted

Chompie’s, with five Valley locations including 7700 W. Arrowhead Towne Center, 1145, Glendale, is celebrating its 40-year anniversary in February.

Forty years ago, the Borenstein Family — Lou and Lovey and their children, Wendy, Mark, and Neal — ventured west to bring classic family recipes from Queens, New York to Phoenix. Fulfilling their dream to start a business, Chompie’s Bagel Factory was born Feb. 14, 1979 in a strip mall at 32nd Street and Shea.

Beginning Feb. 1 and for a limited time, customers can receive a $10 Chompie’s gift card if they spend $50 or more. This offer does not include catering.

On Wednesday, Feb. 13, stop by any of Chompie’s five Valley locations and save 40 percent off a Bagel Box (thirteen signature, boiled and never steamed bagels and two half-pound containers of cream cheese).

Chompie's Glendale is the only Chompie's in the West Valley. It is located in the Arrowhead Towne Center mall at the entrance between Forever 21 and Macy's.

On Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, the first 40 customers at each location will receive a free Early Riser breakfast sandwich (which are 40 percent off the rest of the day) plus they will also feature a special 40th anniversary menu with deep discounts on Chompie’s family favorites of deli-style classics.
